A stunning Italian hand-painted and hand-carved mirror featuring a dramatic arched black frame with an antiqued finish. The wide frame is lavishly adorned with hand-carved silver scrolling acanthus leaves, delicate trailing vines, and cream-toned floral motifs throughout. A gilded shell cartouche crowns the upper arch, with matching shell accents at the center divider and base. The mirror is elegantly divided into two sections, a smaller arched upper mirror and a larger arched lower mirror, framed by intricate silver scrollwork against the deep black ground.
